The Brief
To support in delivering a Senior Leaders meeting in Manchester, followed by a relaxed summer‑themed social event. The brief required a 60‑person daytime meeting, overnight accommodation within budget, and an informal BBQ‑style dinner and drinks reception to encourage networking in a warm, welcoming setting.
We delivered a seamless two‑venue solution that balanced convenience, comfort and atmosphere - all within the client’s cost parameters.
Our Role
Venue Choice was responsible for:
Sourcing and contracting a suitable meeting venue with accommodation
Identifying and securing a summer‑style social space with BBQ catering
Managing all negotiations to ensure value within the client’s budget
Coordinating logistics between daytime and evening venues
What we delivered:
We secured Malmaison Manchester Piccadilly for the daytime meeting and delegate accommodation. The venue offered:
A modern, well‑equipped meeting room suitable for senior leadership discussions
Comfortable bedrooms within the client’s budget
A central location directly opposite Manchester Piccadilly station, ideal for delegates arriving by train
Smooth transitions between meeting, catering and check‑in
This ensured the daytime element felt polished, professional and easy for delegates to access.
For the summer social, we selected Dakota Manchester, using their stylish terrace space. The terrace provided:
A bright, open setting that worked beautifully in the sunshine
A retractable roof (essential for Manchester’s unpredictable weather)
High‑quality BBQ‑style dishes and a relaxed drinks reception
A sophisticated yet informal atmosphere perfect for senior networking
The combination of sunshine, great food and a protected outdoor space created exactly the summer vibe the client wanted.
